Why a Boomerang?

 

At LoyalTec, we chose the boomerang as a symbol for a reason:

  • A boomerang comes back. It's exactly what loyal customers do – come back.
  • Throwing a boomerang requires skill. When thrown by a novice, very often the results are less than desirable – it's often lost or damaged. When it comes to earning customer loyalty, the same holds true - do it wrong and you may lose or damage the customers you were trying to keep.
  • Boomerangs are well known, but the science behind them is not. The concept of customer loyalty is well known, but the science behind a successful customer loyalty program is not well understood by most.
  • Boomerangs require tuning. Professional boomerangs are honed to perfection. The shape and weight must be just right. Earning the loyalty of customers whose needs constantly change requires continual analysis and adjustment of your process.
  • Boomerangs were originally developed as weapons. Customer loyalty defends you against competitors and against customer defection.
  • When laid on its side, it forms an “L” – that’s an easy one!
